Nexus-Woodbourne Family Healing welcomes new board members who will assist in guiding the organization in the mission to strengthen families and stabilize mental health in the Baltimore and Maryland-Washington, DC area. The below individuals were appointed to the Nexus-Woodbourne Board of Directors at the February 2021 meeting:

  • Dr. Al Jones, Jr - Associate Division Director at the Office of Special Education Programs within the U.S. Department of Education
  • Leslie Ashley - Senior Investment Specialist with William Blair’s Private Wealth Management group
  • Cate Goytisolo - Senior Manager, Cross-Category Campaigns for Under Armour
  • Dr. Chevell Thomas - Engagement Team Lead at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), an Operating Division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

When looking for board members, we seek individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of youth and families struggling with mental health and who are willing to share their expertise to further our impact.

“The need for mental health services for youth continues to rise. Every day, we work to address this need and have a positive impact for the kids of our community. The skills and knowledge of the four individuals joining our board will greatly contribute to our goal of restoring hope and reshaping futures for children and their families,” said Nexus-Woodbourne Executive Director, Jarrell McRae.
